The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Momodou Sowe continues his tour of PIU bases and posts across the country. Today, saturday 26th March, The DIG visited Makka Masireh PIU post, located 1.5 km away from Senegal. During the visit, DIG interacted with personnel of the post, he briefed them on the reasons for the tour and bossted their morals by encouraging them to continue being selfless in the service of the nation. The DIG assure personnel in that border post that the police high command under the able leadership of IGP Abdoulie Sanyang will do everything possible to improve the welfare and service conditions of officers under the GPF. He advised them to remain loyal to the nation and committed to service of the people at all times. Welcoming the DIG to the post, Inspector Lamin Kanuteh, commander of the Makka Masireh PIU post expressed joy and pride in having a high authority like the DIG at his post. He informed the police number two that despite the constarints and unsummountable challenges they faced, he and his men are poised to do more in the service of the nation. Inspector Kanuteh lamented the lack of mibility, perimeter fence and manpower, which he said continues to posed challenges in their daily operations. The DIG took note of these and promised to put it before the high command for actions.
