The Inspector General of Police, Abdoulie Sanyang this morning joined officials of the Ministry of environment, Ministry of transport, Afric passage, Transport Union and other stakeholders to a site visit in Kembujeh, where a new weight bridge is expected to be built in order to curb the menance of overloading by vehicles, especially transit trucks carrying goods to neighbouring countries like Mali, Guinea and Senegal.
Speaking, the IGP expressed GPF’s readiness to employ all resources in making sure our roads remain accident free. The IGP further hailed the idea of getting the weigh bridge done, this he said will not only minimise overloading but also protect both the road & road users.
