The Mobile Traffic Unit has succeeded in tracking over 100 counterfeited motor-vehicle number plates, the police said on Friday.
Commissioner Lamin King Colley and men could not be outsmarted. At least nearly 150 private vehicle owners were using the fake number plates to do commercial transport. 140 number plates have so far been seized.
The assistant police Public Relations Officer Inspector Alieu Jamanka told this medium that the suspects have already been charged, and awaiting trial.
